First, I practice over a dozen styles of adjusting – if one doesn’t work on a patient, I pick another, and about 10 acupuncture systems – the mechanical component is very real and addressed with each patient, at each visit. But I took that doctorate and I built upon it. Why? Because my patients wanted MORE care from me, they needed help. And they weren’t getting it from their other docs. Then by word of mouth, I was seeing big, multi-symptom cases, and it grew into, 40 times a day I see cases like these.
I have a postdoctoral license in Internal Health, I do a lot of work in digestion because I believe the body needs nutrition to heal. Over 240,000,000 people in the US suffer from digestive issues. If you suffer from ANY digestive issues, I can promise you the body needs support to not only digest but absorb, transport, utilize those nutrients, and clean up waste.
Nutrition isn’t just WHAT goes into our mouths. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Everything really IMPORTANT happens AFTER you eat. Digestion, in my opinion, is the most undervalued piece of healthcare today. After all, 70% of your immune system is in the GUT. If you don’t have gut health, you need some support.
The definition of NUTRITION is – The diet that is consumed; this includes proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins, minerals, etc. It is the ability to digest that diet and the ability to absorb the nutrients into the body. The nutrients then must be transported to the cells for use. The cells must utilize the nutrients, and generate a waste, that then must be removed from the body.
Diet alone is only a SMALL piece of nutrition. A LOT can go wrong along the way here.
At the beginning of my career, after I helped my patients with the mechanical issues they had, they wanted to know how else I could help them. What about their diabetes, allergies, Parkinson’s, heart disease, chemical sensitivity, this weird symptom they’re not sure of, and no one else is either, etc. I took the nutrition work that I knew could help heal the body, and married it with my mechanical skills. My adjustments held much longer, and my chiropractic results became much better. Then I wanted to know what else could help my patients? So, I began my postdoctoral learning quest and I built my own healthcare system – The McCaffrey Method – and this system bats 80% at WHATEVER ailment walks into my doors!
