Did You Know? Dr. Sean Is Invited To Meet President Carter

I had a unique opportunity presented to me after speaking at Harvard in June. Rebecca and I were invited to meet President Jimmy Carter and celebrate his 95thbirthday! Of course, we said YES! Little did we know that after dinner Saturday night we would be invited to attend a church service with President Carter and his family in Plains, GA. We were able to speak with the President about the state of human affairs throughout the country. We talked about healthcare, human rights, and what we could do to help make the world a better place. After conversing with President Carter, he issued me a challenge.  To continue working for those I have helped throughout the years and to go even further to make a difference that can impact society. It was incredibly powerful to be sitting with a man who was the 39thPresident of the United States and was issuing a personal challenge to ME to make a difference in our world.

Regardless of politics, it is hard to argue that Jimmy Carter isn’t one of the greatest humanitarians to serve our great country in the last 100 years. I have much admiration and respect for our former President. I am humbled and honored to be invited to meet him.
