The FDA and CDC are taking different approaches to Moderna’s newly approved mRNA flu vaccine, and that raises some important questions. The FDA approved mFLUSIVA for adults 50 and older, while the CDC’s current 2026-27 guidance has not added it to the seasonal influenza recommendations.
